Tom Wight

Vice President, Mortgage Banking, KeyBank Real Estate Capital

Tom Wight is Vice President of Mortgage Banking at KeyBank Real Estate Capital. He arranges conventional multifamily agency loans for clients of the bank in Northern California. The "agencies" (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA) support workforce housing by providing competitive financing terms to multifamily owners. Terms are typically 5- to 10- years, fixed rate, non-recourse, and sized 1.25 DSCR with 30-year amortization.

Prior to starting at KeyBank in 2023, Tom was a commercial mortgage banker with NorthMarq San Francisco for several years, where he gained broad expertise in underwriting and financing a wide variety of property types through myriad lending sources. He is actively involved with several professional groups including the California MBA, NAIOP, Bay Area Mortgage Association, ULI, and ACRE.

Tom is originally from Novato, CA and currently resides in Folsom, CA. He earned a degree in Economics from UCLA and an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. In his free time he enjoys golf, running, and paddle boarding.
